How to Disable Chrome ChatGPT Sidebar

Google Chrome has added a ChatGPT with Claude and DeepSeek Sidebar. Follow these steps to disable the sidebar, if desired:

Open Chrome browser and navigate to any web page so the ChatGPT icon appears in the lower right of the browser.
Click on the ChatGPT icon to expand the sidebar and then click on the gear icon.
On the left menu, click Sidebar. Toggle the slider off for "Always display". This disables the sidebar for all Chrome browser windows.
