Self Service Password Reset Use these steps to change your Microsoft work or school account password. These instructions are for users who already know their current password. Steps Open a web browser and go to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info. Sign in with your Microsoft (work or school) account. If prompted, complete multi-factor authentication. On the Security info page, look for the menu on the left side of the screen. Select Password. Enter your current password. Enter your new password. Re-enter your new password to confirm it. Select Submit. After your password is changed, use your new password the next time you sign in to Microsoft services, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Office.com, and any other systems that use your Microsoft account. Important Notes After changing your password, you may be prompted to sign back in on your computer, phone, email app, or other Microsoft-connected apps. If you do not know your current password or are locked out, use the Can’t access your account? option on the Microsoft sign-in page.
